POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for store cash general ledger accounts and maintaining various accounts receivable activity, including the preparation of various schedules, reconciliations, and analyses relating to the daily balancing and monthly general ledger close process.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for various accounts receivable activity (i.e. Borderfree).
• Responsible for various third-party tender accounts (i.e. Amazon Pay).
• Responsible for gift card account and all related accounts.
• Prepares monthly journal entries relating to gift card, accounts receivable, and third-party tender activity.
• Completes reconciliations for numerous general ledger accounts.
• Assists with month-end close procedures, including preparation for and adherence to internal timelines.
• Completes forecasting and budgeting for all sales audit related B/S and P/L accounts.
• Completes ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Assists with internal and external audits.
• Assists management with special projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS in Accounting required
• 1 – 2 years accounting or similar experience
• Fundamental understanding of GAAP, audit procedures and financial controls
• Self-starter with concrete problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Team player with solid organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Capacity to work within a fast-moving, changing environment
• Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and/or TRECS a plus
