This summer you could have the opportunity to work for one of the leading fashion retailers in North America, Chico's FAS is a company of three unique brands – Chico's, White House Black Market, and Soma. Our 11-week Summer Internship Program is the perfect way to gain work experience within the core of the organization.


Position Objective:

The Merchandising Intern will assist the merchandising team with the development and execution of departmental seasonal strategies, maintenance of assortment sheets and compiling of reports. The intern will support the team with the purchase order process, preparation for key PLC meetings and maintenance of samples. The intern will develop a clear understanding of the customer and the competition and assists through the entire product life cycle process.


Functional Responsibilities:


• Be exposed to the total business processes and procedures


• Gain an understanding of the roles of the retail professionals


• Assist with special projects as assigned


Preferred Qualifications:


• An eye for trend and passion for the fashion / retail industry


• Experience working in Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups)


• Exposure to weekly selling reports and costing



• Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 3.0


• Interest in pursuing a career in retail


• Strong communication, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn


Program Details:


• The Chico’s FAS Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2025 and 2026 college students to work with several of our brands (Chico’s, Soma, and White House Black Market) to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
