POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for managing the sourcing process from the supplier selection/allocation through to product delivery. This position works closely with key cross functional partners to allocate production which leverages the best at capabilities of our supply base. It will negotiate the best costs without compromising the brand’s quality or on-time deliveries.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages the relationship with supplier and mills, spearheading the negotiation and final price confirmation, garment details, factory allocation, and delivery.
• Partners with senior sourcing team members to build long term supplier partnerships and alliances as required, cultivating the brand’s relationship worldwide.
• Manages all pre-costing activities and supports the negotiations with mills, as appropriate, and suppliers for deliver targeted product costs and delivery requirements.
• Develops fabric and production capacity reservations and liabilities ensuring the consumption or resolution of outstanding liabilities to minimize financial exposure.
• Develops and executes the development and communication of seasonal time and action calendars for the business and ensures teams are in compliance to required dates.
• Works with cross functional partners to adhere to required call dates for all supplier/product forecasts or projections securing supplier and mill capacities to deliver margin and delivery targets.
• Ensures quick resolution of product related issues with cross functional partners.
• Defines and monitors all supplier chargeback’s and / or discount details.
• Recommends and leads the opportunities to improve the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the sourcing organization and process.
• Values individuality and the diverse talents of their team. Leads the team by communicating expectations, providing guidance, delivering feedback, and empowering the team to be their best.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Business, International Business or a related field
• 5+ years’ experience in Sourcing Management within the apparel industry
• 5+ years’ experience working with suppliers; preferably with oversees vendors
• Solid knowledge of Manufacturing and Costing
• Working knowledge of technical requirements related to testing of fabric, trims, and garments
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel, email, and production tracking software
